Introduction

When's the last time you saw someone reading a newspaper? Think about where he or she was (or you were). Do you or your family subscribe to a daily or weekly newspaper in print version, or potentially even digital version? It's been significantly on the decrease in this age when we have convenient, immediate, and more importantly, FREE online access to information that we used to get from newspapers. Now blogs, oh boy! Task

Subscriptions to The Boston Globe have been flagging, both in paper form and digitally. Worried that people are no longer interested enough in the state of the world to be purchasing newspaper subscriptions, those in charge have decided to set up a blog where the top articles from the newspaper will be posted, complete with pictures, videos, and links. This blog will be free to the public. Jason Tuphey, editor of The Boston Globe website, has sent out a request for a proposal (RFP) for a template that the Boston Globe committee can use to create the blog. You will be creating an article on a chosen topic to author and edit to be a part of the class's editorial team template submission. If the submission experts and editors at the Boston Globe choose your team's format, then it will be instilled as the format and you will all receive credit and thanks on the front page of the blog! It is also possible that the new connections formed could be an in to get a powerful recommendation or two for work or school. *hint hint*
